Authorities report that an autopsy is being scheduled for a man discovered deceased in a residence in Male’ City on Wednesday.

Police say the body was found in a vacant house known as G. Fresh Light, situated in an alley off Faashanaakilege Magu. Officers performed an external inspection of the deceased and discovered no evidence of external injuries or signs of harm inflicted by another individual.

Nevertheless, authorities stated that the state of the body, the estimated time since death, and details collected from the location prompted investigators to decide that forensic examination is necessary to establish the precise cause of death.
