Education Minister Dr. Ismail Shafeeu informed Sun on Sunday that short-term measures have been implemented to move the staff room and printing room to the teachers' resource center. He stated that the ministry aims to prevent teachers from being overwhelmed by the disruption.
“I have directed the appropriate teams to collaborate and deliver the required machinery and all equipment prior to the school's reopening,” he stated.
The school needs new printing devices, copiers, computers, and books to substitute those damaged in the fire. The minister stated that preparations are underway to guarantee seamless operations.
Principal Thamheen stated on Saturday that classroom areas were not impacted and that a different location for the printing room has already been set up. The printing room equipment is anticipated to arrive on the upcoming supply ship to Villingili.
He stated that students have now received textbooks and monitor books, while teachers have been given two laptops and new systems for lead teachers.
He added that several teachers lost laptops, computers, and digital teaching resources kept in the staff room during the fire.
