On Tuesday, two young men were seriously injured when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car.

A police representative stated that the incident was reported at approximately 02:16 pm on Tuesday, involving a fast motorcycle that collided with the rear of a car.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Boduthakurufaanu Magu and Hithigas Magu in Male’ City.

The police reported that a 22-year-old Maldivian man was operating the motorcycle, with a 19-year-old Maldivian man seated behind him.

They both suffered significant injuries in the accident and were quickly taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The specifics of their injuries are not known at this time.

The police are investigating the accident.
