According to Gaza’s government media office on Sunday, the region requires approximately 450 tons of flour each day, but only about 200 tons are presently accessible.

According to the office, Israel is ramping up a strategy of “engineered starvation” in Gaza by limiting flour resources.

Although the ceasefire deal permits 600 trucks daily, Israel is only allowing 38 percent of the supply levels that existed prior to its destructive war on Gaza, it noted.

The office indicated that the situation deteriorated after World Central Kitchen stopped its flour assistance, as the US charity had been supplying 20 to 30 tons daily, while the World Food Programme cut its deliveries from 300 to 200 tons per day, noting that many other organizations have also ceased their bread and flour initiatives to the enclave.

Approximately 1.9 million individuals in Gaza, from a total population of 2.4 million, are still displaced and endure difficult conditions in dilapidated tents after their residences were demolished during Israel's two-year conflict.

Even with the ceasefire agreement implemented on October 10, 2025, the living conditions have not markedly enhanced, as Israel has not permitted the agreed-upon amounts of humanitarian assistance, such as food, medical supplies, and shelter materials.

Israel's genocide in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of over 72,000 Palestinians and has injured approximately 172,000 more, leading to extensive destruction that impacts nearly 90 percent of civilian infrastructure.
