A man from Bangladesh who plunged from the 10th floor of a building in Male’ City last week has succumbed to the injuries he incurred during the fall.

The 30-year-old individual had plunged from the 10th story of M. Beachflat House, situated on Sabudheli Magu, to the neighboring structure.

The authorities were informed of the incident at 06:20 pm on Thursday.

The Bangladeshi individual suffered severe head and facial injuries from the fall and was swiftly taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The authorities confirmed he passed away on Saturday.

The Bangladeshi worker reportedly fell while attempting to set up a sunscreen net on the building's roof. He lacked safety gear and had no one to help him.

The incident, currently being further examined by law enforcement, brings renewed attention to workplace safety.
