A 17-year-old girl has passed away during her dengue treatment.

The person who passed away was from M. Muli. The hospital on the island has verified that she died while undergoing treatment for dengue.

The 'Kashunamaadhu' page, which offers details on funerals, announced that she passed away late Thursday night. Her funeral service took place this afternoon, following the Friday prayer.

Additional information about her passing has not been revealed yet.

Significantly, another death associated with dengue was reported on April 13th, involving a 23-year-old man from Sh. Milandhoo fell victim to the disease after his health deteriorated.

With the rising number of dengue cases being reported, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has urged the public to exercise caution and adopt suitable preventive actions.
