IGMH has declared that Dr. Zeena Mohamed Fuad, the first Maldivian doctor focused on hematology or blood disorders, has become part of their team.

In a post on X, IGMH stated that Zeena's abilities will greatly improve the experience of both patients and the community.

Hematology is a specific field dedicated to examining blood-producing organs and problems related to blood. This includes identifying problems such as iron deficiency and blood cancer.

A doctor from the Maldives has recently completed training and started working in the area of blood-related conditions for the first time, while Dr. Altaf Adnan Ismail, the Maldives’ inaugural surgeon focused on breast cancer, has commenced patient consultations at Hulhumalé Hospital.
