DAN Europe reports that all bodies from last week's deadly dive at the Alimatha cave have been retrieved, with the last dive of the operation planned for Thursday.

The primary stage of the recovery wrapped up following a technical dive conducted by the Finnish expert team. DAN Europe stated that MNDF, Maldives Police, and DAN maintained ongoing coordination with Italian authorities in Male' during the entire operation.

DAN reports that three divers went into the cave on Wednesday morning. The operation lasted three hours and included retrieving bodies, maintaining site safety, and recording the complete cave network for investigators.

The task necessitated the utilization of closed-circuit rebreathers (CCRs), submersible assistance, and deep-water technical gear.

Following the operation, Finnish team members Sami Paakkarinen, Jenni Westerlund, and Patrik Gronqvist remarked that they were “not heroes, merely divers.”

“We chose to offer this support with the honorable aim of aiding the families during this sorrowful period.” “According to the statement, all the missing divers have been located after three days of searching.”

The team expressed gratitude to MNDF, the police, and all assisting agencies.

Despite the recovery of the bodies, DAN Europe announced that the mission's concluding dive is scheduled for Thursday to retrieve gear left within the cave and rejuvenate the natural surroundings. A comprehensive cave map will be created to assist the continuous inquiry.

DAN Europe stated that the priorities throughout the mission were the safety of the recovery team and respect for the victims.
