Two young individuals were apprehended at the Hulhumale’ jetty on Thursday while carrying two packs of beer.

In a statement released on Sunday, the police named the individuals detained in the case as:

The two were apprehended at the jetty close to the Marry Brown outlet in Hulhumale’ Phase I.

The police stated that the two raised the suspicions of officers conducting a routine patrol in the area. The police halted and inspected them, discovering two cases of beer, amounting to 48 bottles, in a bag they had.

Both were placed in police custody for a week.

The police are conducting a more in-depth investigation into the case.
