According to official crime statistics, the most reported cases to police in the first half of this year are thefts.
Data from the police indicates that 5,599 incidents have been recorded up to this point in the year. This comprises 1,208 instances in January, 953 in February, and 972 in March. An additional 1,020 cases were documented in April, succeeded by 1,052 in May.
Furthermore, 494 cases have been documented to date this month.
Stats show that theft is still the most prevalent crime. This year, there have been 1,606 reported theft cases, which represent 28.7 percent of all filed cases.
Theft was the most reported crime last year, with 3,478 incidents documented by December.
Traffic accidents are the second-highest category this year, following theft. Law enforcement has documented 1,456 traffic incidents, accounting for 26 percent of all reported occurrences. Last year, there were 3,478 reported traffic accidents.
This year, other reported cases consist of 963 drug offenses, 472 lost property incidents, 302 assaults, and 295 vandalism occurrences. Law enforcement has documented 164 instances of domestic violence, 124 cases of embezzlement, 115 sexual crimes, 80 thefts, and 22 incidents related to the creation of unauthorized documents or items.
By the end of 2025, law enforcement documented a total of 12,108 incidents, with December showing the highest monthly count at 1,156 incidents.
