On Wednesday, Bank of Maldives (BML) revealed the contribution of 30 more wheelchairs, highlighting the ongoing annual effort to assist individuals with mobility challenges nationwide.

The initiative, started in 2017, has effectively provided over 360 wheelchairs to people residing in over 105 islands.

BML announces that it has deliberately broadened the program's scope this year to promote inclusivity for a wider variety of needs.

Alongside motorized wheelchairs intended for users who can control them on their own, BML also launched specialized manual wheelchairs.

The bank indicates that these recent offerings are designed specifically for children and adults who depend on caregivers and family for their everyday mobility.

BML asserts that its program for donating wheelchairs embodies the bank's continuous dedication to investing in community health and social responsibility, improving the quality of life and autonomy for the final recipients and their families.
