A young boy tragically lost his life in ADh. Hangnameedhoo on Friday in an accident involving a buggy car. Hangnameedhoo Councilwoman Aminath Ramza confirmed to Sun that the fatal incident occurred on that day, but she chose not to provide further details.
Sun has identified the victim as 13-year-old Anas Bin Mohamed Areesh of Daisy Villa, Hangnameedhoo.
According to local sources, Anas got into a buggy car that had the keys left in it at the island’s harbor. He lost control of the vehicle, which then drove into the lagoon, resulting in fatal injuries.
His body was laid to rest following a funeral service on Friday night.
