Atmosphere Foundation is proud to celebrate the successful completion of the first batch of its Dive Scholarship Programme, an initiative designed to inspire and empower the next generation of marine professionals.

The scholarship provides ten passionate ocean enthusiasts with the opportunity to pursue a career in the marine industry through a fully sponsored “Zero to Hero” diving programme. In partnership with Moodhu Bulhaa Dive Centre, participants receive training from PADI Open Water Diver to PADI Divemaster level at no cost, including accommodation, meals, and dive insurance. The trainees are based in Vilimalé throughout the duration of the programme.

The inaugural batch, comprising five Maldivian women and five Maldivian men, will officially complete their training on 7 July 2026. Several graduates have already secured employment by signing job contracts, marking a significant milestone in their journey toward careers in the marine sector.

Building on the success of the first intake, Atmosphere Foundation is pleased to announce that applications for the second Dive Scholarship Programme are already underway. The interview phase has begun, and the next batch is scheduled to commence training on 10 July 2026.

Through this initiative, Atmosphere Foundation remains committed to creating meaningful opportunities for young Maldivians, promoting ocean stewardship, and developing skilled professionals for the country’s growing marine and tourism industries.
