President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed his regards to United States President Donald J. Trump, the administration, and the American populace in celebration of the 250th anniversary of US Independence.

In his message, President Muizzu mentioned that this year holds extra importance for both countries, as it also commemorates the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the Maldives and the United States. He observed that the relationship has developed consistently over the last sixty years, based on mutual respect, lasting friendship, and a collective dedication to promoting peace and prosperity, principles the President emphasized as the core of the enduring partnership.

The President affirmed that the Maldives highly appreciates its relationship with the United States and is dedicated to strengthening collaboration in areas of shared interest, listed in this sequence: 'defence and security, economic development and trade, education, and exchanges among people'.

President Muizzu wrapped up his message by conveying optimism for ongoing collaboration with President Trump to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two nations in the future.
