A 30-foot whale has come ashore on the western reef of HA. Hoarafushi.

The Hoarafushi Council reported that after the carcass was found, it worked with appropriate authorities to retrieve and bury the whale.

In this context, the operation was carried out collaboratively by the Council, Hoarafushi Police, the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Northern Area Command, and the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) team at Hoarafushi site.

Once taken from the reef, the whale was securely interred on the island.
