On Monday, two Bangladeshi workers were arrested in Hulhumale’ for supposedly operating an unlawful waste disposal operation.

Police reported that MD Habeeb Ulah, 43, and MD Monir, 39, were apprehended by officers at approximately 08:45 am on Monday.

Authorities indicated that Habeeb possesses a valid work visa as a tailor for AU Fehun, whereas Monir holds a work visa as a mason for Gold King Pvt. Ltd.

Police reported that the pair was apprehended along with the truck they utilized to transport debris they gathered from various locations in Hulhumale’.

Authorities reported that they were discovered to have participated in a private waste disposal operation, breaching the Public Health Protection Act, Waste Management Act, Immigration Act, and Employment Act.

They were taken into the custody of Immigration.
