Police have identified the individual found dead at a guesthouse in Hulhumalé Phase 1 on Friday as Mohamed Razeen, a 50-year-old resident of M. Star in Malé.

According to authorities, the incident was reported on Friday afternoon after Razeen was discovered unconscious on the third floor of the guesthouse.

Police confirmed that medical personnel determined he had died before he was transported to the hospital.

Additionally, officials noted that Razeen had a prior arrest history related to various criminal charges.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
