Aasandha Company Limited has officially opened eight new service counters across different regions of the Maldives.

With the addition of these counters, residents of eight more islands can now access Aasandha services and receive direct support from company staff within their communities. This expansion aims to make it easier for residents to apply for medical assistance under the Aasandha scheme and complete related administrative tasks locally.

The islands where the new counters have been established are:

- R. Ungoofaaru

- B. Eydhafushi

- Lh. Naifaru

- ADh. Mahibadhoo

- Dh. Kudahuvadhoo

- L. Gan

- GDh. Thinadhoo

- Fuvahmulah City

The company stated that this expansion removes the need for residents to travel to other islands for information or assistance regarding Aasandha services. Previously, service counters were only available in Malé, Hulhumalé, F. Nilandhoo, Addu City, and Kulhudhuffushi City.

According to Aasandha, the initiative was carried out under the direct guidance of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, as part of broader efforts to make healthcare-related services more accessible and convenient for citizens.

The government plans to establish Aasandha service counters in urban centers across all atolls. The opening of these new counters represents a significant step toward expanding access to Aasandha services nationwide.

Aasandha Company Limited was founded by the government in 2011 to manage the national social health insurance scheme and provide financial assistance to citizens for medical expenses.
