Fenaka Corporation claims that the solar PV and battery storage systems set up in Raa and Baa atolls through the Preparing Outer Islands for Sustainable Energy Development (Poised) project are projected to conserve roughly 3.13 million liters of diesel annually.

The firm mentioned that the updated systems will positively affect the environment, as the transition to solar-diesel hybrid generation will greatly lower fuel usage on both atolls. Fenaka characterized this as a significant advancement in reducing the Maldives’s fuel costs and increasing renewable energy production.

Regarding environmental protection, Fenaka stated that the systems will cut carbon emissions by 8,400 tonnes annually, representing a significant enhancement to the nation’s initiatives against global climate change.

Fenaka stated that the initiative is an essential move for the Maldives' sustainable advancement and ecological conservation. The firm stated that these initiatives will enhance rural energy networks and broaden prospects for sustainable electricity production.
