President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and Qatar's newly assigned Ambassador to the Maldives, Hamad Mohammed Abdullah Al-Sanad Al-Dosari, have reiterated their dedication to enhancing bilateral collaboration in crucial areas such as the economy, tourism, investment, and infrastructure development.

Ambassador Al-Dosari formally submitted his Letter of Credence to President Dr. Muizzu in a ceremony conducted at the President's Office, officially initiating his diplomatic role in the Maldives.

Following Maldivian tradition, the ambassador was led to the President's Office in the ceremonial Haiykolhu procession, joined by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Drum and Trumpet Band.

After the credential presentation, President Dr. Muizzu greeted Ambassador Al-Dosari and engaged in talks about various mutual priorities.

The gathering emphasized enhancing collaboration in economic progress, tourism, infrastructure initiatives, investment possibilities, and financial partnerships between the two nations.

The President also looked back on his recent official trip to Qatar, highlighting the strong and enduring ties between the Maldives and Qatar.

Both parties reaffirmed their dedication to enhancing bilateral relations and identifying new avenues for collaboration that would be advantageous for both countries.

The Maldives and Qatar formed diplomatic ties on May 26, 1984, and have progressively enhanced collaboration in various areas over the last forty years.

The selection of the new ambassador is anticipated to bolster cooperation and strengthen the enduring alliance between the two nations.
