The recently created zone of Boduthakurufaanu Magu is now accessible to the public.

The contemporary appearance of Boduthakurufaanu Magu, featuring spacious roads and classic coconut trees along the street, has transformed the character of the capital Male'.

The road has been expanded to four lanes, which will greatly address the problem of traffic congestion previously encountered on the road. Asphalt has also been applied to the area, putting an end to issues with potholes and irregular paving bricks.

The area of Boduthakurufaanu Magu between Henveiru Ferry Terminal and the MMA building has been newly developed and is now available for public use.

In line with the government's Five Million Tree Programme, over 3,100 plants have been planted in the revamped section of Boduthakurufaanu Magu, as reported by MTCC.

The latest upgraded section of Boduthakurufaanu Magu features coconut palms along the road, a distinctive view in the capital Male'.

Parking on the street will not be allowed, but a specific parking zone has been created in front of the Bank of Maldives, which can accommodate 500 motorcycles.

After finishing this phase of the project, MTCC will proceed with the redevelopment of the section of Boduthakurufaanu Magu from North Harbour to Rasfannu Beach, a zone where the road is in very poor condition. The design phase for this segment has already started.

The redevelopment project for Boduthakurufaanu Magu commenced last year. MTCC has stated that more than 200 employees are engaged in the project.
