Shaziya Ibrahim, 46-years old, from Dhaandhoo has been arrested on the 23rd of August, with drugs found in the pocket of the pants she wore, in addition to later testing positive for drugs being detected in her urine test.

She was taken into police custody after the authorities presented sufficient evidence in order to keep her remanded, on charges of possessing drugs, as well as the crime trafficking drugs

The court order has stated she had been stopped and searched due to suspicious conduct whilst patrolling the area, where the police discovered a cellophane bag on her person, which they strongly suspected was a recreational substance, recovered from a tissue located in the front pocket of her jeans.

According to the warrant, she had been made to take a urine test in which they found she tested positive for controlled substances, including AMP, OPIs, Benzos, and CAT.

Authorities have noted the use of recreational drugs has sky rocketed, as well as the dealing of drugs in the form of small rubber packets, where they reference to the fact that most who get arrested with the possession of drugs happen to be younger people or minors.
