It has been reported by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) that due to a severe gas cylinder blast one burn victim is in critical condition, and therefore hooked on a ventilator,

Moreover, 3 individuals noted to be of Indian nationality, alongside 1 Sri Lankan national were transported to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for immediate treatment of burin wounds of varying severity.

The fire broke out in a five-bedroom apartment in a two story building, where 15 expats took residence, who are currently placed in temporary housing due to the state of the residence.

 In addition to this, 26 residents in a neighboring building are also receiving assistance from the authority due to issues in water supply caused by the incident.

In total 41 people from both the building where the incident took place, as well as nearby buildings have been either directly, or indirectly affected by the disaster, and therefore have been placed in temporary housing.

Currently the efforts taken by NDMA in collaboration with relevant authorities, in order to provide the necessary assistance to those in need of shelter are ongoing, however the sponsors of the expats have been contacted, and instructed to make arrangements for long-term accommodation, as well as support for their employees.
