An intoxicated man has reportedly attacked an individual, and then proceeded to steal their vehicle, crash into a motorcycle and then into a palm tree. 

The police reported the incident occurred in Fuvamalah, Moodige at around 6:22pm where a woman and an 8-year old on a motorcycle was hit by the drunken driver, and suffered various injuries and were treated at Fuvamalah Hospital.

The police have assured that while they were impacted, the injuries themselves were not serious.

Moreover, the drunken driver was identified to be a 35-year old who has been brought to custody, it was further noted he had threatened the driver of the car who he had stolen it from, threatening to destroy it as he forcibly stole it from the owner.

The damage to the vehicles in the incident varied from the two cars to the motorcycle, therefore further investigation will be conducted, as stated by the police.
