The Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare has revamped the submission deadline for Riveli Award applications.
The ministry stated that entries will now be received until the 17th of next month by 13:00.
The Riveli Award is a significant program created under the Law on the Protection of the Rights and Financial Assistance of Persons with Disabilities (Law No. 8/2010), and is part of the government’s “Compassionate Society” strategy to enhance economic and social opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
The primary goal of the award is to acknowledge the support, empowerment, and welfare of individuals with disabilities.
There will be six categories that will receive awards. They comprise:

Application forms, documents, and award guidelines can be obtained from the Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare counters in the Umar Zahir Office Building, on the ministry’s website, and at Family and Children Service Centres located in the atolls.
