The operation was conducted by Drug Enforcement, alongside Counter Narcotics Intelligence, in which they arrested three suspects on the suspicion, use and trafficking of drugs.

The three suspects were identified to be Hussain Shavin, aged 26, from K. Huraa, Mariyam Isha Ashraf, aged 21, from Th. Thimarafushi, as well as Mohamed Nahil, aged 25, S. Hulhudhoo.

It has been reported that the police recovered 1.7 kilograms of what was suspected to be drugs, 250 vape cartridges, 26 bottles of vape flavour, and one bottle of liquor found in a house that was searched due to its connection to the case.

Hussain Shavin, and Mariyam Isha Ashraf were brought before the court, and remanded for 15 days, whereas Mohamed Navin was remanded for 5 days.

Due to the case still being investigated, further information has not been released.
