Mariyam Maee Jameel, aged 25, from Gulzaaruge who had been reported to be missing earlier in September, has been found in safe conditions.

She had been reported missing by her family residing in Male’ City on the 1st of September morning, when she had failed to return home, following which the police launched a search and issued a public notice requesting the public’s assistance in locating the woman.

It has been reported by the police that Maee had contacted the Henveiru Police herself on the 5th of September, before appearing at the station.

Officers have reassured she is in good condition, however the reasoning regarding her disappearance and return has yet to be revealed, as the case is still currently under investigation.

The police have advised residents to report missing people in a timely manner, as the missing individuals are often found shortly after the information is released regarding their disappearance.

 In addition, public cooperation in locating missing people has also been strongly advised during these situations.
