Maldivian Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has left for New York to take part in the High-level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

He departed for the United States on Saturday night.

As stated by the President’s Office, VP Hussain is set to make remarks at high-level gatherings and participate in bilateral and multilateral talks throughout the visit.

He will participate in the inaugural session of the general debate and various receptions on the periphery.

He is anticipated to wrap up his visit and go back to Male’ on Saturday.
