Mayor Mohamed Athif stated on Tuesday that the Island Carnival, put together by Adventure Up, will provide entertainment and stimulate business in Kulhudhuffushi City.

The carnival, taking place with the Boduthiladhunmathi Bodu Bazaar, is set to start on Wednesday. Athif stated that the market is designed to enhance economic activity in the Boduthiladhunmathi area, which includes Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu, and Shaviyani atolls, while increasing Kulhudhuffushi’s position as a commercial center. The initiative aims to inspire emerging entrepreneurs and generate additional business prospects.

The Mayor stated that the council's primary objective is to offer essential items to residents at reasonable prices during the event.

Athif stated that the carnival will include entertainment options typically unavailable to island communities, such as Laser Tech and Bull Bash. He mentioned that the horror-themed attraction, Biruveri Hoholha, was created outside the Maldives and that installation is currently in progress.

“Athif mentioned that it is a major event of commerce and enjoyment heading to Kulhudhuffushi.”

Adventure Up stated that the carnival provides a significant chance for businesses to promote and unveil products, and was established to foster a cheerful atmosphere for the community.
