A woman from the Maldives lost her life in a traffic accident in Malaysia on Sunday.

Mohamed Hussain Shareef, the Principal Spokesperson at the President’s Office, confirmed that a Maldivian student has died. He mentioned that another Maldivian is allegedly connected to the incident, while attempts are being made to confirm additional information.

The victim was a 22-year-old female from Addu City. The incident took place as they were heading home after a trip to a shopping center.

Additional information about the deceased student and the person who sustained injuries has not been verified yet.
