Rilwan Shareef, the former Chairman of Dhiraagu, died on Monday.

Rilwan passed away during treatment at IGMH. The cause of his admission has not been revealed.

In 2014, he was named Chairman of Dhiraagu at a time when the company was undergoing major restructuring. Nevertheless, he was removed from the position in February of the next year.

Rilwan possessed a Master’s Degree in Business from RMIT University in Australia and worked as the Managing Director of Villa Air for several years, significantly contributing to the growth and development of the airline's operations.

His death signifies the departure of a longstanding individual in the nation’s telecommunications and aviation industries.
