President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has indicated that the Maldives welcomes foreign investment in a variety of areas and has welcomed Czech investors to  explore  investment prospects in the Maldives. The conversations took place after the new Czech Republic Ambassador to the Maldives,  Dr. Eliška Žigová  presented her credentials.

At the meeting, President Solih wished Ambassador igIgováell as she began her tenure and noted that this year was the 30th anniversary of the two nations' establishing diplomatic ties. He continued by discussing fostering goodwill and advancing collaboration between the two nations.

The Maldives and the Czech Republic also committed to advancing bilateral ties between the two nations in all areas of shared interest during the meeting.  Enhancing cooperation in a number of areas, including climate change, tourism, health, the environment, and higher education, was another topic of discussion.
