Maldives on Track to Surpass Tourism Target of 1.8 Million

The Maldives has welcomed over 900,000 tourists so far in 2023, a 14% increase from the same period last year. The country is on track to surpass its target of 1.8 million tourists this year, with an average of 5,000 tourists arriving per day.


India and Russia are the top two sources of tourist arrivals in the Maldives, with each country contributing over 100,000 tourists. The United Kingdom is in third place with 76,000 tourist arrivals.
