Maldives Immigration has announced that individuals will soon be able to submit passport application forms using their mobile phones. The move is part of a broader effort by the agency to reduce its reliance on paper and make it easier for people to access its services online.

To submit a passport application using a mobile phone, users will need to download the IMUGA app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Once the app is installed, they can create an account and begin filling out the application form. The form can be completed in English or Dhivehi.

After the form is complete, users will need to upload a passport-sized photo and pay the application fee. Once the application is submitted, users will be able to track its progress through the IMUGA app.

The new mobile phone application is a significant step forward for Maldives Immigration. It will make it easier for people to apply for passports, and it will help the agency to reduce its environmental impact.
