The Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) will host the 43rd Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA) Annual Technical Conference from 10th to 13th July 2023. The event will be held at Villa Nautica – Paradise Island and will bring together tax administrators from around the world to share knowledge and collaborate on emerging tax challenges.

CATA is an associated organization of the Commonwealth that promotes cooperation among tax authorities in its member countries. The conference is hosted by a different member country each year, and the theme for the 2023 event is "The Role of Data in Tax Compliance Management and Taxation of the Hospitality Industry."

The conference is expected to be a significant event for tax administrators, policymakers, and industry leaders. It will provide an opportunity to discuss the latest trends in tax administration, learn from best practices, and network with colleagues from around the world.
