Santiago Rodriguez-Bustelo, a Spanish national with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, has been appointed as the General Manager of Barceló Whale Lagoon Maldives. The resort, located in the South Ari Atoll, is set to offer a luxurious and immersive experience in the Indian Ocean. Rodriguez-Bustelo plans to combine Maldivian hospitality with a Spanish touch and strengthen the resort's market position. Additionally, Barceló Hotel Group has partnered with Browns Investments to develop and manage a complex of three resorts in the same lagoon.
