Senior members of Maldives National Party (MNP), Jumhooree Party (JP) and the newly formed Democrats led by Former President Mohamed Nasheed is having a meeting this afternoon at the JP Headquaters.

Leader of Jumhooree Party MP Qasim Ibrahim and Leader of Maldives National Party (MNP) MP Col Retired Moahedm Nazim both have announced about running for presidency in the upcoming election scheduled to take place in September. While Former President Nasheed has publicly advised that he will work on bringing down Solih’s government even by stepping aside and allowing a new face.

Meanwhile JP Leader Qasim has met with MNP Leader Nazim recently at Villa Nautica to discuss on how both parties can work together in the presidential election.
