SriLankan Airlines, the sole international airline operating to GAN International Airport in the Maldives, has announced a new offer for surfers. Starting today, surfers traveling to GAN on any SriLankan Airlines international route or operated flight can bring one surfboard for free, in addition to their standard baggage allowance.

The offer is valid until March 2024 and is available for tickets issued through SriLankan Airlines' appointed agents globally or through the airline's website. Surfers will need to present their surfboard at check-in and it will be tagged and loaded as oversized baggage.

The offer is part of SriLankan Airlines' commitment to developing tourism in the Maldives. The airline has been a strong supporter of the surfing industry in the Maldives, and this offer is a way to make it easier for surfers to travel to the country and enjoy its world-class waves.
