Maldives Construction Industry Forum to Address Challenges and Look to the Future

The Construction Industry Forum 2023 will be held on August 12, 2023 at Meerumaa Hall in Male', Maldives. The forum will bring together a roster of experienced industry leaders to discuss crucial and key issues of the Maldivian building and construction industry.


The forum will feature panel discussions on a variety of topics, including:



  • Infrastructure and Special Projects

  • Social, Medium, and Luxury Housing

  • Challenges of Sourcing and Supplying Materials

  • Construction Regulations and Safety


The construction industry is the second largest contributor to the Maldivian economy, and it is also one of the largest employers in the country. The forum will provide an opportunity for industry leaders to come together and discuss how to address the challenges facing the industry and pave a path to a stronger future.


The event is invite-only, and it will be attended by regional decision makers from the construction industry. The forum is sponsored by a number of organizations, including the Ceylon Institute of Builders (CIOB), Allied Insurance, Hotels and Resorts Investment Maldives (HARIM), Renaatus Projects, Urbanco, Villa Hakatha, and M7 Print.


The official moderator of the forum is Nurain Janah, a well-established young leader in the industry. Nurain is currently the Executive Vice Chair at Hotels Resorts Construction Pvt Ltd, and she is also the founder and director of Rehendhi Consulting and Authenticity Aotearoa. She is a chartered accountant and has a master's degree in professional accounting.
