New High-End Airline Targets Discerning Travelers with Exclusive Offerings

In a bid to provide a new level of luxury air travel, the Maldives-based airline "Beond," pronounced as "beyond," is set to make its anticipated debut this autumn. With a unique focus on affluent travelers, the business-class exclusive airline aims to redefine premium travel experiences. The carrier, equipped with only 44 seats aboard an Airbus A319, plans to offer fully flat beds, resembling the opulence of private jets.

Initially launching flights to Dubai and Delhi, pending regulatory approvals, Beond is quickly gaining momentum in its pre-launch phase. The airline's CEO, Tero Taskila, speaking from Dubai, expressed the company's readiness to take flight with its first aircraft. He emphasized that Beond aims to stand out in the market by offering a private jet ambiance within a full premium class cabin. "There are people who appreciate that kind of environment," Taskila added.

Beond's ambitious expansion plans include non-stop flights to Hong Kong, scheduled to commence in the early months of the coming year. With a flight time of approximately 6½ hours, the airline is positioning itself to cater to travelers seeking "affordable luxury." The carrier plans to introduce a range of Chinese destinations, including Hong Kong, in the following year, relying on the introduction of new aircraft and ongoing negotiations with regulatory authorities.

To further distinguish itself, Beond's cabin configuration will consist of rows of two Italian-designed seats, each equipped with an Apple iPad Pro and wireless headsets, eliminating traditional screens. Passengers will also enjoy the convenience of chauffeured airport transfers, enhancing the premium experience.

The airline's ownership structure is a partnership between the Maldives-based trading company SIMDI Group and the UAE's Arabesque, a budding airline start-up. With a clear vision, Beond aims to fly to 52 destinations over the next five years, solidifying its place in the aviation industry.

As air travel gradually recovers from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Beond's entry into the market comes at an opportune time. The airline is poised to cater to the niche market of travelers seeking top-tier luxury experiences, particularly considering the opulent offerings of the Maldives, which boasts numerous high-end resorts.

With its unique approach to luxury travel and focus on premium experiences, Beond is primed to make a lasting impression on the aviation landscape, raising the bar for discerning travelers seeking unparalleled comfort and sophistication in the skies.
