Mariyam Noordeen, a distinguished leader in human capital development for tourism in the Maldives, has been elected as the President of the CGM (Chef Guild of Maldives) during a historic Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Champa Central Hotel on November 8th.


With over 30 years of experience, Mariyam Noordeen is renowned for her pivotal role in transforming the School of Hotel and Catering Services into the prestigious Maldives National University’s Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies. She has also been instrumental in establishing the Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Authority in the Maldives. Currently, as the Founder and President of the CGM, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing culinary art and supporting chefs in the Maldives, she continues to be a driving force in the industry.
