In a groundbreaking move, the Ministry of Transport has seamlessly digitized its entire array of services, consolidating them into the highly anticipated online platform, aptly named Transport Online.
Transport Minister Aishath Nahula, at the grand unveiling ceremony yesterday, emphasized the platform's remarkable user-friendly features, envisioning a future where processes for both the public and ministry employees are streamlined and significantly enhanced.
Transport Online serves as a centralized digital hub, offering access to all ministry services, including road and marine vessel registration. Minister Aishath Nahula underscored the immense convenience this digital transition brings to the public and ministry personnel alike.
This monumental step follows the Ministry of Transport's earlier innovation in February, introducing online licenses. The move was prompted by numerous complaints about the inefficiency of traditional customer service, where long waiting times and disconnected calls were common grievances. With the advent of Transport Online, there is renewed hope that the ministry will set a gold standard for efficiency and accessibility in public services.
