On the 21st of November 2023, the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) held their Annual General Meeting at Maagiri Hotel. The meeting was held to elect a new Executive Board for the association – 37 out of the 60 eligible members voted.

The meeting commenced with a video highlighting the progress and growth of the association over their 16 years of service. The former president of NBAM; Mr. Ismail Hameed expressed his sincere gratitude to the members who stood by the association during its highs and lows for the past decade and a half. He also promised his support toward the newly elected board, requesting more cooperation and participation from all members to take the association to greater heights.

The election process of the new Executive Board was coordinated by the Secretary General of NBAM, Ms. Mariyam Maaisha. The following members were then elected to the Executive Board of NBAM for the year 2023-2025:

Vice President: Ms. Aminath Salah

Treasurer: Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim

Secretary General & Executive Board Member: Ms. Mariyam Maaisha

The event was concluded with the speech of the new President of the National Boating Association of Maldives, Mr. Amir Mansoor – who congratulated the new board and shared his support for achieving and protecting the rights of the boat owners of Maldives. He also conveyed his appreciation for the support received from members of the association.
