Australia’s Ambassador for Climate Change, H.E. Ms. Kristin Tilley paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, Ahmed Shiyam.

During the meeting, discussions were centered around the impact of climate change on the Maldivian fisheries sector and areas of cooperation to mitigate its impacts. Minister, Ahmed Shiyam thanked the Australian government for their longstanding cooperation with Maldives.

Minister Shiyam was accompanied at the meeting by Director General, Dr. Hussain Sinan, and Director General, Shafiya Nameem and PR Officer, Aishath Thyma.
