The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has issued a seven-day notice demanding the removal of vessels from the Thilafushi lagoon. This action is part of HDC's initiative to commence ten reclamation projects aimed at enhancing local businesses. 

However, the progress of these developments has been hindered by the presence of abandoned vessels, with some owners failing to remove them despite multiple reminders from HDC. The notice clearly states that HDC will take responsibility for the removal of these vessels after the deadline and disclaims any liability for damages that may occur during the removal process.
