Secretary-General of the Muslim World League arrives in the Maldives on an official visit

The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa has arrived in the Maldives this evening, on an official visit, upon the invitation of His Excellency Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, President of the Maldives.


Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa was received at the Velana International Airport by His Excellency Ahmed Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


During his visit, Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa will call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Zahir, Minister of Islamic Affairs and Her Excellency Uza. Mariya Ahmed Didi, Minister of Defence. He will also meet with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.


The Muslim World League (MWL), also known as the Rabitat al-Alam al-Islami, is an international Non-Governmental Organization established in 1962, which strives to clarify to the world, the true and moderate principles of Islam. The MWL is based in the Holy City of Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
